Tip: Use Foam to prevent soil from falling out

Hi Rick

This Is Tony I have just subscribed & I am really learning a lot so thanks for all the info.

I just thought I would tell you what I had seen somewhere else on the Internet regarding the upside down tomatoes.

When putting them into the bucket, after removing the two bottom leaves, get a piece of sponge and put a cut to the middle from one side, then put it around the stem.

This will prevent the soil from coming out the bottom of the bucket.

Hope this will be a help to you & others.

Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the subscription and the great tomato growing tip. Soil falling out was definitely a bit of an issue when I tried it, but the foa method makes perfect sense.

Regards
Rick
